Event Description
Fast growth, an increasingly skilled workforce and improving infrastructure have attracted many European SMEs to set up a business in China. Although China offers ample opportunities in sales and manufacturing, China also remains one of the world’s largest sources of intellectual property rights infringement. A challenge for European SMEs is how to take advantage of the opportunities while minimising the risk of intellectual property loss.
It is important to realise that many of your company’s assets are considered IP. This workshop will help you to identify and determine the value of these assets. You will learn how to identify your company’s challenges in the Chinese IP landscape and will be provided with quick, cost-effective resolutions to protect your business. You will learn from real-life experiences from an SME operating in the PRD.
During this session, you will have the opportunity to play the China IPR SME Helpdesk’s recently launched IPR Serious Game. When playing the serious game you will be guided through common business scenarios linked to IP challenges, which provides an immersive context for situational learning. This new business tool will allow you to increase your knowledge and awareness about managing intellectual property when entering the Chinese market.
Breakfast pastries will be served during the seminar.
